Melvin

March 2, 2005 – April 13, 2015

“I could make you happy, make your dreams come true. No there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do. Go to the ends of the earth for you, to make you feel my love.”

I love you deeply and eternally and I am so grateful you were mine. You were the perfect dog, my best friend and a most awesome brother.

Until we meet again my love…

  1. 😦 I’m so sorry. The picture of Jake looking out the window just breaks my heart, and I dread the day my pups will have to be separated. I know if Melvin could talk, in those last moments, he would have thanked you for giving him such a beautiful awesome life, and he would have told you how much he loved you. Rest in peace buddy. xoxo

  2. I am sobbing at my desk! I feel like a part of my own heart has been taken away. I send many hugs your way. Please know that many of us loved Melvin and he will be sadly missed.

  3. Oh Tracey. I’ve been dreading this post. I have so loved getting to know you and your dogs through your blog and Instagram, and I’ve been so grateful for you reaching out to me with the issues my boys have been having. Melvin was so loved by so many, and I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you are feeling right now. This post completely broke my heart. Know that I am thinking of you and keeping you and Jake in my prayers. Sending huge hugs from KC. Run free sweet boy.

  4. I read your blog every single day and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it… but I have been dreading this post… My heart is totally broken for you and sweet Jake. I was hoping you would have more time with Melvin but I know how much you made the last few weeks/months as special as possible. You are a wonderful person with a heart of gold for her babies. I hope each and every day, your pain gets less and less. Only time helps heal. I will be thinking about you and sending lots of positive thoughts. I wish your heart healing. Sending hugs.

  23. Dear Tracy, all week I’ve been thinking about what to say, and all I have is that I am so sorry for Melvin’s loss. I can feel your love for him through your words, and it is amazing. Learning of his loss brought back so many memories, that just saying “I’m sorry” didn’t seem good enough. My thoughts are (and have been) with you and Jake, and I am sending you both a very big virtual hug.

    XO,
    Liliana
